CLAREMORE HERITAGE TOUR

A great day trip for visitors as well as locals, the Heritage Tour features some of Claremore’s own, including the Will Rogers Museum, the J.M. Davis Arms & Historical Museum, the Claremore Museum of History (featuring the works of Lynn Riggs), and the John Bayless Belvidere Mansion. Each of these individuals helped create the Claremore we know today, and the Heritage Tour allows us to pay tribute to their life and legacy.

HONORING OUR MILITARY MEN & WOMEN TOUR

A great day trip for visitors as well as locals, the Honoring Military Men & Women Tour features some of Claremore’s Military Academy history and more. Visit the J.M. Davis Arms & Historical Museum, Oklahoma Military Academy Museum, the Will Rogers Memorial Museum and a visit to the Port of Tulsa. The Honoring our Military Men & Women tour is a great day trip to learn about some of Claremore’s Military history.

COWBOYS, INDIANS AND OIL BARONS TOUR

Take a trip back to Oklahoma’s past and discover the cowboys, Indians and oil barons who helped shape Claremore. This itinerary is packed full of northeastern Oklahoma’s finest examples of Oklahoma history, beginning in Claremore, home of the legendary American cowboy himself, Will Rogers. Then tour Tahlequah to learn about the Cherokee Heritage and Society, complete with a “taste of Cherokee” traditional meal. Finally, explore the life of our very own Oklahoma oil barons in Ponca City and Bartlesville, visiting Woolaroc and the Marland Grand Home, also known as the “American Castle.” Lasting three nights, four days, and complete with unique meals and entertainment, the Cowboys, Indians and Oil Barons Tour is a favorite among Oklahoma travelers.

NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA VIP ROUTE 66 TOUR

Introduce your group to a bit of Route 66 history with the Northeast Oklahoma Route 66 Tour, filled with iconic stops along the “Mother Road.” Embark on the Route 66 experience from Claremore and learn about Will Rogers, Oklahoma’s favorite son who called Claremore home. Then tour Miami and enjoy the Coleman Theater and the fantastic creations of Daryl Starbird’s National Rod & Custom Car Hall of Fame. On day three, you will travel to see famous Route 66 stops such as the Pryor Creek Bridge, the world’s largest Totem Pole, the Blue Whale, world class museums like the Will Rogers Memorial Museum and the Claremore Museum of History. With plenty of great food and photo ops, the trip consists of three nights and three full days, and can be customized to accommodate your travel path.

CLAREMORE: A MUST-SEE ON ROUTE 66

Traveling Route 66? Make Claremore one of your overnight stops and experience our hometown hospitality. Visit the Will Rogers Memorial Museum and birthplace, along with the J.M. Davis Arms & Historical Museum. We are also near two of Route 66’s iconic stops: the Blue Whale and the world’s largest Totem Pole. Plenty of great food and fun along the way!

Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton

  • 1-night stay, Standard Rooms: $89 plus tax, per room
  • 1-night stay, Suites: $99 plus tax, per room
  • 2-night stay, Standard Rooms: $84 plus tax per room, per night
  • 2-night stay, Suites: $94 plus tax per room, per night
  • One comp room for every 10 booked
  • Baggage handling is available for $5 per person, round trip

Amenities include extended hot breakfast, complimentary Wi-Fi, heated indoor pool and hot tub, exercise room, guest laundry, plenty of motor coach parking (free). Close to retail shopping and restaurants, and conveniently located off of Highway 66.

  • Deposit required: 25% of total
  • Half due at booking, the other half due 30 days prior to arrival (half is half of 25%)

Holiday Inn Express & Suites

  • 1- or 2-night stay: $89 plus tax per room, per night
  • One comp room for every 10 booked
  • Baggage handling is available for $3 per person, round trip
  • Meeting room available for group breakfast area

Amenities include extended hot breakfast, Wi-Fi, indoor pool, exercise room, plenty of motor coach parking (free). Close to retail and restaurants, and conveniently located off of Highway 66.

  • Rooming list: 1 week prior to arrival
  • Cancellation: 2 weeks prior to arrival

La Quinta Inn & Suites

  • 1-night stay: $79 plus tax per room
  • 2-night stay: $75 plus tax per room, per night
  • One comp room for every 20 booked
  • Baggage handling is available for $5 per person, round trip

Amenities include extended hot breakfast, Wi-Fi, indoor pool, exercise room, plenty of motor coach parking (free). Close to retail and restaurants and conveniently located off of Highway 66.

  • Deposit required: prior to cancellation date 50% of rooms booked

Meals

Breakfasts are included at the hotel.

Lunch on your own, or:

  • Arranged Luncheon. Let our staff help you choose from a variety of local flavors: sandwiches, soup, hot entrees and dessert. Or skip lunch and go straight to dessert.
  • BBQ Lunch in a Barn. Yep, in a barn. Our staff will arrange a catered BBQ lunch at the Will Rogers Birthplace Ranch (10 miles northwest of Claremore). Enjoy a self-guided tour of the ranch home and stretch your legs on the farm while enjoying the residents (animals).

Dinner on your own, or:

  • Catered dinner after hours at the J.M. Davis Arms & Historical Museum or the Will Rogers Memorial Museum. Catering by local favorites such as Hammett House, the Pink House, Billy Sims BBQ or Country Inn Bed and Breakfast and Catering.
  • J.M. Davis Arms & Historical Museum guided tour of 50,000 artifacts, including guns, ammo,  collections of World War I posters, and steins. Or try your sharpshooter skills in the BB Gun Range.
  • Will Rogers Memorial Museum guided tour, which includes a visit from Will himself (our local Will re-enactor, Andy). Visit 12 galleries of memorabilia or enjoy watching one of Will’s many movies.

  5. Blue Whale (a Route 66 icon)
  6. Port Tour (a driving tour with a guide from the Port Authority, the furthest inland port in the US)
  7. Oklahoma Military Academy Museum and Killed In Action Memorial (the Academy was known as the West Point of the South and is now on the grounds of Rogers State University)
