You can easily spend a whole day either on the water or around the lake, where there’s plenty of fun for the whole family, including picnic sites with public grills, splash pads, playgrounds, Frisbee golf, and four miles of paved walking/biking paths.

Cap off the day with dinner in our historic downtown district, which offers both family-friendly fare and plenty of options  for a cocktail or craft beer.

Claremore is a very popular agritourism  destination, as you’ll discover when you visit a cattle and horse ranch, or a working sheep farm. Taking a Lakeside trail ride on horseback is another great way to enjoy a day in the country.
